Church Electoral Roll
You are invited to apply / reapply for membership of the church parish Electoral Roll.
Every six years the Church of England requires all parishes to renew their list of members. This last happened in 2019 so this year it must be done again.
The notes attached below explain a little bit more and there is an application form for you to complete if you wish to remain on the Electoral Roll. If not, it would be helpful if you let me know so that I don't keep reminding you.
Membership of the new roll, which will take effect from 1 April, is important as it gives you the right to attend the Annual Parish General Meeting (APCM) where you can raise any concerns or ask questions, vote for churchwardens and PCC members as well as hearing about the activities of the Parochial Church Council in the last year.
Our Rector, Revd Robin Thwaites, will also make a short report.
The closing date for applications is Monday 17th March when the names of those entered into the new Roll will be displayed on the noticeboards in both Michaelstow and St Tudy Churches for two weeks.
This is to allow for any errors to be identified and corrected before the Roll is used to issue invitations to the APCM which is on Tuesday 29th April in St Tudy Church at 6:15pm.
If I do not receive your completed application form by the closing date, you will be removed from the Electoral Roll and will not be able to attend the APCM.

The ER Renewal notes are probably the simplest explanation of what happens.

The ER Revision invitation to apply is a formal letter that is sent to those not on email.
Finally, Notice of Preparation of New Roll is the legal notice displayed in both our churches throughout this period.
